Can I talk to you confidentially?
Confidentiality is the key element of my work with you. Confidentiality would only be broken in exceptional circumstances, and I will tell you more about this in our initial introductory session.
How long are the sessions?
Each session lasts for 50-minutes, what is known as the ‘therapy hour’.
How much are sessions?
It is very important for you to find a counsellor who you feel happy to work with. As such, I offer an introductory session when we can establish whether working together feels right for you.
My fees are:
Free initial 20 minute introductory session – in-person, telephone or online (ZOOM)
£50 for a regular 50-minute counselling session between 10am and 5pm
£55 for a regular 50-minute counselling session before 10am and from 5pm
Some concessions are available
How many sessions will I need and how often?
I offer different levels of support which is dependent on your needs. Therapy may just be a few sessions or you may decide that working on an open ended basis feels better for you. We will review how our sessions are going during therapy to ensure that our work remains relevant and helpful for you.
Sessions are, preferably, once a week on the same day and at the same time. For the duration of our work, I will commit to maintaining your regular session time.
What do I do if I want to come for counselling?
If you would like to arrange therapy, please contact me and we can organise an introductory session. Initially, counselling may seem daunting so this session will give you the opportunity to find out what it will mean for you.
